8th Annual Concert Series
This week Arts in McNairy announced the lineup for the popular AiM Summer Concert Series. Now in the eighth season, the concert series has introduced McNairy County audiences to an eclectic mix of music genres and hosted musicians from as far away as Texas and Georgia. Fans of the series will not be disappointed with this year’s great schedule.

The popular band Seven Times Fall makes their second appearance on the series June 23. The group was a big hit with both Gospel and Contemporary Christian fans when they performed on the Selmer stage during the 2006 series. Returning to the series after a five year hiatus will be the high energy music and dance of Kula’ and Wind Dance on July 14. This talented group of young musicians and dancers from Rose Creek Village never fail to delight audiences with some of the best Celtic entertainment available anywhere. Caixa (Pronounced KT-SHA) Percussion Trio will provide the season finale on August 17 with their stunning blend of percussion instruments and contrasting musical styles. Caixa features three of the finest percussion performers and educators in Tennessee; Julie Hill, Amy Smith and Julie Davilia. This award winning group has played internationally on four continents and is often called upon by national and regional percussive arts societies to perform or teach at festivals and “days of percussion.” The group will also offer a master class for area percussion students the afternoon of the performance. All performances on the series begin at 8:00 PM at the beautiful Edward Simpson Performance stage (The Ed) in the Selmer City Park located at the south intersection of Hwys 45 and 64 in Selmer, TN. The concerts are free to the public but donations to Arts in McNairy are always appreciated. Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic basket and enjoy music under the stars at the 8th Annual AiM Summer Concert Series!
